Biography
Misha Terzić is a Serbian film director, producer and screenwriter. His films have been recognized and awarded at the Berlin Film Festival, Beijing FF, Las Palmas and many others. Misha’s work often engages in true stories that are considered to be provocative in nature and socially and politically taboo.
His last film “Stitches”, a feature presentation focusing on the true story of serial newborn abductions, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2019, where it won the European Cinema Label Award and the Audience Award. Following Berlin, the film won numerous prizes and toured the worldwide festival circuit, receiving great press recognition from Variety, Cine Europa and many others.
In 2020, he directed the award winning television drama series “Tycoon” (srb. Tajkun.). This was the biggest Serbian TV show of its time, a local hit stirring the renaissance in regional television production.
Misha’s first feature film “Redemption Street”, premiered in 2012 at the 36th Sao Paulo International Film Festival. WIth this film, Misha won the Best Debut Film Award at the Cottbus Film Festival and the Heart Of Sarajevo for the Best Actor.
In the field of advertising, Misha has collaborated with all major agencies in the region such as Leo Burnett, Oghilvy & Mather, McCann, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi on some of their biggest marketing campaigns. Misha is a veteran commercial director whose career spans thirty years and his portfolio holds more than 800 TVCs. Over the years his commercials have been awarded the numerous EFFIE, EPICA, Golden Drum and EuroBest awards. Some of his notable clients are Coca Cola, Schweppes, Carlsberg, Nestle, Heineken, Raiffeisen Bank, Banca Intesa, TMobile, Telekom Serbia,Telekom Croatia, VIP/A1, Telenor, Molson Coors.
